Discover the unspoiled nature on one of the various walking or cycling routes passing through Klein Vaarwater. Bicycles can be hired for a small fee from the local facilities.
There are four villages on Ameland, i.e. Hol-lem, Ballum, Nes and Buren, each with there own past, some going back to the 13th cen-tury.
